Does berberine work?
Yes — within a clearly defined metabolic context, and with important caveats attached. What berberine is

Berberine is one of the few supplements where the evidence genuinely supports meaningful effects on clinically relevant metabolic markers — blood glucose, HbA1c, LDL cholesterol. The Grade B rating is earned. For adults with metabolic dysfunction who have confirmed its suitability with a GP or pharmacist and who are not on interacting medications, it is a legitimate tool.
